Pin back construction for holding medium cloak or medium/heavy cloaks. This stylized circular dragon is adorned with Norwegian Runic symbols discovered from sites dating ca. 200-1400 AD.
Most of these in Scandinavia, where the Runic alphabet was in use the longest. Runes were chiseled in stone or engraved on wooden sticks. The runic inscriptions used on this piece stems from excavations at Bryggen & Bergen.
